New Module Development Alert: The Dual Sim Card Module By Qutiger

April 7, 2017 By Cate Lawrence Lawrence

Qutiger is a Shenzhen based hardware company that makes a diverse range of connected products including smart thermometers, keyboards, game pads and dual sims. We are collaborating with them to produce a dual sim module.

The dual sim will be a micro sim that is compatible with iOS and Android phones. Dual SIM cards allow separate numbers for personal and business calls on the same handset making it a great convenience for those that really want to separate business and leisure. Mobile users can keep the history of incoming and outgoing calls and separate contact lists on each SIM card. It allows enables easier roaming by being able to access a foreign network while keeping the existing local card. It’s all managed through a corresponding mobile app, called Morecard.

Dual SIMs are popular in locations where lower prices apply to calls between clients of the same provider; The module would be a great resource for international travellers who typically buy a sim upon visiting a new country to avoid roaming charges.
